Great little tent Dec 31, 2011

I have a Mountain Hardwear 3 person 3 season tent that I love. I was searching for a lighter option for backpacking and I made the right choice. This tent is very sturdy. I am 6'3" and my 5'7" girlfriend, myself and our 25 pound doggie have spent nights in this tent without incident. It is cramped and there is no room for any equipment in that situation, but it is manageable. If it had just been the two of us without the pup it would have been perfectly acceptable. I would not recommend this as a 2 person tent for people not wanting to be very close to their camping partner, but if that is not an issue then I would have no problem doing so. Add the dog and it got a little cramped, but still do-able. The double vestibule is what makes this tent a viable two person tent in a pinch as there will be no room inside for gear with two bodies.
I bought this tent as a light-weight packable tent for myself with the ability to have my girlfriend join me if we were trying to go ultra-light and it delivers. Don't let the price scare you. This tent is VERY well made. Some complaints about sag in the roof are in my opinion unfounded, as I have been able to pitch it easily without sag. There are multiple tie-downs for windy weather, but I have only used them on rare occasions. Great tent. Very waterproof and surprisingly warm for what it is. This was a great purchase.
