 First try of AlpineAire; really liked this food! May 16, 2010

My husband and I just tried AlpineAire freeze dried food on our trip. We've previously tried Mountain House and thought it was adequate, but we really liked the AlpineAire. It was hearty, plenty for two, and we thought, quite tasty. We didn't even add extra salt or seasonings (which were available if needed). Sorry the previous reviewer got sick on it, but since we're vegetarian there aren't a lot of choices out there for us. We found this very convenient. Yes, you can make your own food, and that's great for some, but for us this was just right. By the way, we didn't try the spaghetti. We hope it's as good as the other flavors.

the only time i have ever barfed camping. had to force it down, flavorless, poor textures....
Im gonna make my own food, it is cheaper and so so so much better than any of this prepackaged junk.
