Great knife Dec 03, 2007
By Jared Bollman
"Maverick"
To say I am partial to my Buck 105 is probably a huge understatement. Out of all my hunting knives my 105 does nearly everything I could ever ask of a knife. The handle is comfortable in the hand the hunting guard is not bulky but large enough to keep your fingers away from the blade. The taper of the blade if absolutely the best I've found for working in tight spaces with a fixed blade knife. The knife blade is large enough so that you can make reasonable progress with just a few strokes, but not so large that you have to be too fearful of slipping and cutting through the meat or pelt and into your hand. I have used larger knives, I've used smaller knives, I've used knives that cost more than triple what Amazon is asking for this, and I always come back to my 105. My pathfinder is so well liked around the deer camp I am giving four of them for Christmas this year. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I have mine.

Buck 105 is great on deer, for rabbits get the 102 Dec 13, 2009
By Ben Fisherman I purchased a Buck 105 sometime in the 1990s after owning a Buck 102 since 1972. Both are excellent knives. I've cleaned many deer with the 105, and its size is perfect in my hand and plenty big enough for field dressing a white tail deer. I also prefer the 105 over the 102 for larger size catfish. The 105 is a little large for panfish.
Both the 102 and 105, when correctly used and sharpened, will last a lifetime and it might be around to pass along to the grandkids. The shape of the blades on both the 102 and 105 make for very easy work on all aspects of cleaning game.
After I bought the 105, I usually carried it when deer hunting. I have found the 105 better for deer than the 102. If you only hunt large game, then the 105 would be better. If you hunt small game, the 102 is definitely the correct choice.
Get a Buck knife, you won't be sorry.

Excellent Knife Aug 25, 2008
By D. Avery When I ordered this knife, I didn't know what to expect. It arrived 5 days later and it is excellent. The blade came very sharp and it's held the edge very well. It has a comfortable handle and looks good as well. I reccomend this knife to anybody needing a knife for dressing pelts or gutting fish. I guarantee you will be satisfied.

The Best Hunting Knife! Oct 17, 2009
By David J. Shoemaker My dad bought me my first hunting knife 30 years ago--it was a Buck Pathfinder. It had served me well for several years until I lost it. It was an easy decision to buy another Buck Pathfinder. It came to me sharp and ready to use with the same quality as my first. It also comes in a nice, quality leather sheath that will keep your knife looking great for years to come. I HIGHLY recommend this great knife.

All Around Workhorse Knfie Aug 28, 2010

I had one of these when I was growing up and originally purchased one to have something reminiscent of my youth. It now is a permanent fixture in my Jeeps glove compartment, and is used for all types of tasks. I use it for field dressing game, slicing charcuterie on picnics and wine tastings/festivals, around camp, and just about anything you would use a knife for.
It has a very attractive handle that feels good in the hand. The size is just right too. Not a huge Rambo knife, and not a knife too small to handle real outdoor/bushcraft tasks. The blade comes razor sharp, and holds an edge.
When in its sheath its a very compact size, which I really love. It allows it to fit in my glove compartment unobtrusively.
If I have to give a con ... The thiness of the blade makes it a no go for any type of prying or batoning. But it wasn't made for those type of task, and if it were thicker it wouldnt be so useful as a skinner and slicer.
With that said. Just buy they knife. For the price, and warranty its a no lose.
