BUYER BEWARE: FALSE ADVERTISING Jul 13, 2010 BUYER BEWARE: the model you'll receive is #3000000458 and NOT the model advertised. However Amazon's ASIN: B0009PUPX8 on my invoice matches the "Product Details". Thus, you will receive a much lesser BTU stove (14,000) and NOT the 21,000 BTU model advertised! LOOK CLOSE because they look identical, but differ greatly on their BTU output!
compact but great Jun 29, 2010 I upgraded from a 30 year old coleman stove that was large and finicky, so take my review for what it is worth. It works well and lights up right away. The surface area is too small for two 12 inch pans so if you are cooking for more than 4 people you may have trouble.
nice little stove Jun 08, 2010 I received the stove yesterday. No problems with shipping or packaging. I purchased a 1 gallon can of Coleman fuel at WalMart for about $7. The stove came with a filter funnel which made filling easy. The stove instructions were a little hard to read but this is a simple product. I pumped the stove about 40 pumps to pressurize the stove. I lit the stove and there was very high yellow flames initially so keep your windscreen out of the way so you don't overheat the paint. I opened up both burners and let it rock for 3-5 minutes. Soon the wild yellow flame disappeared and I got a nice blue flame. I turned the stove off and it burned out in 30 seconds. It is a small cooking area. If you are hosting a large camp site and plan to be using very large pots and pans you might want to look at the 3 burner. This would be fine for a small base camp with small to medium size cookware. This would easily serve well for a 2-4 person camp. I liked that the instructions were posted on a sticker inside the lid. They show it being lit with a match but i think it would be safer and easier to use a long lighter if you have one. WalMart had the stove for $78.00. with tax it would be about $85.00. It was $88.00 online, $78.00 in store.
One last but important note. The instructions say you can use unleaded fuel if necessary. It is the "if necessary" language that bothers me. That is legal speak for "you can use unleaded fuel but we prefer you to use Coleman fuel." If that is the case, you might be better off just buying the stove that operates on Coleman fuel. I saw a post that talked about unleaded fuel containing ethanol corroding the seals but I cant verify this. Overall a good piece of equipment. Happy trails.

44 years and still going strong! Apr 30, 2010 Dug out my old two burner Coleman stove today. I got it for Christmas in 1966. Yes, that's right.......44 years ago. It has been used hundreds of times during my life. Anyway, it has been stored for a few years but I dug it out today and tried to fire it up again. Yes, it took me a few minutes because it was filthy, spider webs, dirt and grime. But yes, in a few minutes I had it working again......and without changing any parts.
I am heading up to the far north in Canada this summer and have enough confidence in this stove that I am taking it with me as my main cooking source as I camp.
Bottom line.....I honestly don't think I will outlive this thing.

A Piece of Americana Apr 20, 2010 Yes campers this is the one to buy. The same kind of green metal stove that Grampa couldn't break. Sure its not quite as sturdy as the old ones but its still pretty darn rugged. And you can use the same stuff you dump in the car to fire it, no non-refillable tank to mess with. It heats a pot of water to boiling almost as fast as my fancy kitchen range. If you can't cook it on a Coleman 2 Burner Dual Fuel Compact Liquid Fuel Stove..don't eat it.
