Great accessory for Coleman Grill Oct 06, 2007

The griddle plate is great. Though you can't really determine it from the site, it fits the "9922" grill series. Used it today for a morning tailgate to cook up pancakes and bacon. For $20, its well worth picking up to get more uses from your Coleman grill!

I bought a Coleman propane two burner grill stove. The one with the blue lid. The grill part of the stove is for barbecueing only. If you want to fry eggs or cook bacon, for example, you need to buy this griddle to use in place of the grill. It is custom made to fit this stove and it works great. I tried using a flat griddle from the kitchen on the stove and it didn't work well. So buy the griddle.

I bought this griddle hoping it would fit my two burner coleman stove. It did not and I had to return it. The description of this product does not include which models it fits. Thanks to another reviewer, I realized (too late) that it was not for my stove.
BEWARE: This griddle only fits this stove. Coleman Outdoor Grill and Stove - Red

I purchased this griddle in conjunction with the Coleman 2 Burner Electronic Ignition Propane Grill Stove (Blue Coleman) and the Coleman Grill and Grill-Stove Carry Case.
This Griddle is a lighter metal, possibly aluminum covered with a non stick covering. It is designed to fit into the Coleman Grill and Stove and does so nicely. It provides a nice compliment to the grill section of the grill and stove combo. The Griddle does not cover the entire two burners, it covers the grill section only. As such it performs nicely; heats up nicely and evenly. Because of the covering, the user should not use metal utensils to preserve the cooking surface.
The only additional item I have noticed with this griddle that buyers should know is that while this will fit directly in place of the grill section of the basic stove/grill, the griddle section does not allow the stove/grill to close while inside the setup. It rides a little higher, so it has a conflict with the fold over wind screen. For buyers who want only the griddle and would replace the grill with the griddle always, they should be aware of this. This is not a very big problem for me as I will travel with the original setup, retaining the griddle for additional cooking options and transporting it outside the setup.
