Great all-purpose hiking shoe. May 07, 2007

The Columbia TrailMeister Trail Shoe is a light (2 lbs.), comfortable, and sturdy shoe. It is suitable for nature walks and light hiking, provides excellent grip and stability, and wonderful arch support. I have worn these shoes on hikes in the White Mountains, and they are great for mild hiking, nature walks in the woods or fields, and limited climbing duty. I also wear them around town on occasion and they provide breathable comfort all day long. The arch support is perfect for my foot, and even though they are not my main shoes, I can wear them all day without any fatigue or pains. After one year of use, they show almost no signs of material or constructive failure...they are really well-built. Some of the best shoes I've ever owned have been Columbia, these are no exception.

Good quality. Make sure to lace them tight enough or you will get blisters. That is probably just a size issue. Over 75% off from amazon compared to Joes. Awesome!!!

This is my first pair of hiking style shoes and I really like them so far. They appear well-made and durable.
