Practical & comfortable Oct 24, 2007
By G. Haring Was looking for a comfortable walking shoe. We hike a bit, not backpackers or anything like that, probably more like power walking in the neighborhood AND at public parks. Needed something that was not WHITE because I kept ruining my aerobic/exercise shoes. These are not only comfortable, they are darker & easier to keep clean while still looking nice for a leisurely bike ride exploring a new town and able to feel good about walking into a casual restaurant even during the evening. Also, was happy with the price being less than $40 on sale.

hiking boot Dec 28, 2007

Good hiking boot. I recommend buying a size bigger than you normally wear tho. Columbia boots run small, made in China.
Good boots Oct 15, 2010
By Elizabeth520 These are slightly better looking in the picture than in person but I am still glad I bought them. Good to wear to chilly football games in the fall or anything outdoors. My only complaint is they are not too good in the snow. Water does get in them. Don't purchase as a winter boot. Good for hiking though or fall activities.
Gave me Achilles tendon problems Oct 06, 2010
By LollyDa These are fine for occasional use, but when I used them for hours of hiking, I injured my Achilles tendons badly.
Columbia Hiking Boots for Women Jan 21, 2008
By Rolinda A. Tzamaloukas As a Hot Air Balloonist, I have always looked for an outdoor boot that suits all my needs, this one did. Warm if frigid temperatures, comfortable to wear all day, light weight and not cumbersome. A great boot that will be a permanent part of my ballooning attire, in all seasons.
