best bang for the buck!!! Feb 07, 2010

This product is lighter than the cheap blue or silver tarps but way stronger. Great for the gusty trade winds here in the islands! Other tarps get the grommets pulling out but this baby is tough. This is not the ripstop lite model and its durability is more than worth the little extra weight (which is not much more). I used it for a canopy, lean-to and lowrise diagonal wing and its going strong after withstanding blasting wind and major tropical down pours while fishing and hunting. Everybody that saw and experienced its super multi-purpose functions were very impressed! Get a sharpie and have vistors sign it and log the days catch on it, it will be even more memorable as time goes on, as it should be around for years. I've had other "name-brand" tarps but this one beats 'em all!

I bought this tarp to put over the top of a triangular tree house I had built for my granddaughter. Because it was rectangular it had to stick out along two edges of the triangle. We had some torrential rains and it never leaked. It filled with water in some places and I had to get up there and empty it out, but it did not burst under a lot of pressure (from many gallons of water) and it did not leak. I rigged it to fold back over itself when not in use and it does that well too. So, with that experience, I can wholeheartedly endorse this product.

when I purchased this tarp quite some time ago. It was inexpensive. I don't know what it costs now but it's been the best rain fly I've ever had and I have arranged it in all sorts of fashions in the wilderness.
