Still not what I need Jan 07, 2009 This was stil too large for the use I had in mind. I REALLY liked the product that the company discontinued. BIG MISTAKE!

Better light than others that cost more than five times the price. Dec 30, 2008 This light is one of the best headlamps out there period. And for the price it is an absolute must buy.
The LEDs are super bright, it is lite weight and wont slip off your head, the batteries are expensive ($5 each, 2 batteries) but they last a good long time. The three levels of brightness are a nice extra for conserving battery life when you don't need as bright of light, and it also has two flash settings. It's durable and I've found it to be very water resistant, though I've never really got it drenched.
Good product, don't spend tons of money at REI or on here getting a super expensive name brand light when this one is better than most for a fraction of the price.

Seems nice, but you can do much better Dec 24, 2006 If you are buying a headlamp I highly recommend getting one with LED lights such as this one. An LED lamp is bright, uses less energy, and just lasts longer. However due to the style of batteries this lamp uses, it can only give you 8 hours of light, and the batteries aren't cheap. I went to my local sporting goods store and found another lamp for the same price that takes 3 AAA batteries, and lasts for 100 hours.

Little headlamp, lots of light Aug 15, 2005 This is a very user friendly little device. Mine arrived with a low battery and I thought , "What a waste!" until the batteries got checked. Wow! Lots of light that is consistent and didn't drain the batteries. I never missed my flashlight once, even after 7 hours under the house working on plumbing in tight spaces. Love my headlamp!
