5super day pack  Feb 16, 2007
By G. R. Gillespie
I bought one of these a while back to use as a day pack for hiking. I find it an absolutely great backpack. It has enough compartments for everything I need to carry as well as a ton of smaller pockets for nick knacks and smaller items.
I found I didn't need the waist belt and never used it as it doesn't do much. (It's not like your trying to get weight to your hips with a small pack like this anyways. I ended up cutting it off. It has a nice carry handle at the top built into the harness that makes it real easy to carry this pack or move it around with one hand when not wearing it.
The padding on the back is very comfortable, I haven't overloaded this pack yet, but with about 15-20 pounds, it's very easy to wear.
It has straps for a skateboard/snowboard, and while I've never used it for those, They make nice straps to lash things on if you wanted to. I also like the cell phone pocket, which I actually do use for a cell phone. I liked that so much that I zip tied my folding knife pocket exactly opposite it.
One downfall for me was the 2 side pockets. Usually used for water bottles . They are quite small. my nagaline 32 oz bottles won't fit in there, though no problem with smaller sizes. The pack is able to be used as a camel back, though I didn't see a bladder specifically made for it.

So in the end, I just bought another one of these for a friends birthday and I'm really impressed with it. I would definatly recomend this pack.

Phone holder on your shoulder, velvet pocket for your glasses, spot for camel back and the best pack for any hiking trip. Well we used it as the diaper bag too, oh and for college, and for road trips, Laptop fit for work trips to Norway, oooh and to go to concerts...yup, good for EVERYTHING!

I got this backpack mainly for mountain biking, but I also use it for hiking, camping, as a gym bag, and more. I love the top pocket for sunglasses. The straps are sturdy and comfortable, and the attached cell holder is perfect. Would definitly recommend

5I recommend this bag!  Apr 17, 2008

I bought this bag for my 13 year old son to go to school with. It's almost the end of the school year now and he has been using this bag for 8 months now. It has supported all the abuse that a boy this age can put a school bag through without a dent. I plan to let him use it next year too.
