Broken after 5 liters. Feb 08, 2011
By Cameron I did quite a bit of research before buying this filter and was under the impression that it was a reliable, effective device. After about the fourth use, though, the input barb snapped off while I was attaching the input hose. I've included a photo in the customer images section. I suppose the problem could be avoided if you never detach the input hose once you've put it on, but I was bagging the hoses separately to avoid cross-contamination.
Silver lining: I e-mailed the company about the problem and they responded just a day later. They said that both hoses are designed to be removed after use, the barb shouldn't have broken off, and offered to mail me a replacement body for the filter - that's pretty great customer service.

Better than anything i've used Apr 07, 2007
By Ann K. Skowron

As someone who trecks winter and summer I found this to be the best and fastest way to get filtered water. It is easy to use, light weight, pumps a lot of water quickly and is a tried and true piece of equiptment. This is the second i've purchased. Wouldnt go with any other one.

great water filter Jun 23, 2008
By Verley J. Spivey I have tried several water purifiers as I frequently travel to third world countries with questionable water supplies. I like this one better than any other I have used. You can quickly get a good quantity of water' It is much easier to use than the Xstream that I used to use.
I have used it all over the world. It is easy to pack and easy to use. It is a winner in every way.

Great Nov 12, 2010
By Glen Chesbrough

I have used this little guy for awhile now during long hikes in the Sierra's. It delivers clear clean water from the rivers and streams that I have used it in. To date I have not had any bad experiences with it or the water that I have drank. The size is small enough that it fits nicely in one of the small side pockets of my pack. Also the weight is almost non existant. I would recomend this to a friend.

BWCA trip Sep 12, 2010
By glcstl Bought this item for a trip to the BWCA. Worked great without any issues. Really beat boiling the water to purify. Was plenty fast for filling water bottles. Tasted great. I would recommend this to anyone who wanted a simple solution to purifying water on a wilderness trip!
