Leki Speed Pacer Vario T2 Poles Apr 23, 2011
By Kismet964 The poles do everything it says on the tin. They are light and well balanced. The length adjustment means you can get them just right, and being near the handle does not upset the balance. The trigger grip is really convenient, especially when you want to detach a pole quickly eg to open a gate, blow your nose, whatever. I think they are great and heartily recommend them.
Many problems with the locking mechanism Sep 21, 2009

I have been Nordic walking (really hiking up and down mountains) for nearly 4 years.
I used to love these poles. They are carbon and don't vibrate like aluminum poles. And they are light.
However I continually have issues with the locking mechanism not locking. I have sent the poles back once. Leki has a lifetime guarantee. They sent out repaired poles. But I have failures again.
However... having the locking mechanism fail (will not lock at all) is terrible. Once I had to use the poles at their shortest size since I couldn't lock them. Another time I had to abandon the trip.
I have Leki traveler poles I use when traveling by air and have had no problems with them.
I have given up on these an have just ordered some SWIX fixed length carbon poles.
I LOVE THESE POLES! Sep 05, 2009
By Martee Crosson This is the second set of Leki poles I have purchased through Amazon. The first set is now being used by my husband - a recent convert to Nordic Walking. I can't compare these poles to any other maker's poles, but I can tell you that using walking poles makes a tremendous difference in my strength and endurance. I can walk much farther, and for longer periods of time, with less stress on my hips and knees. These poles are very light and the grips are comfortable. They are not highly adjustable, so be sure you know what length you need before you order.
