Indispensable travel accessory Nov 12, 2008 Both my husband who is 5' 10" and myself at 5' 2" are able to use this lightweight, sturdy, telescoping walking stick. I purchased my first one for trekking in the Rockies and continued to use it as a cane after a total knee replacement. The LEKI TSM Pole twists to tighten or loosen the two expandable sections, which when fully contracted will fit into the pouch in front of airline seats. The rubber tip grips quite well. Under the tip is a metal pick that is extremely helpful in icy conditions. Great product.
Great travelling cane for runts. Feb 13, 2008 As a short man (~5'5") and unintended adventurer, this pole is a necessity! I can compact and pack it away in a small bag without fear of tearing my clothes or breaking my toiletries. However, it's not made for anyone taller than a self-admitted runt, who should feel somewhat special using this great product.

Disappointed Nov 18, 2007 It seems like a good idea, but why would it have been designed to have a maximum length of only 35 inches? I apparently didn't notice that part of the description before I ordered mine. It does me no good unless I am walking barefoot, and I am only 5'7" tall. So, consider that point carefully! Also, it is very easily over adjusted which the instructions clearly advise against. Then, considerable time is spent trying to reposition each segment. Apparently the name "Micro Pole" refers to its usable length rather than its compactability. It's suitable for short users that have plenty of time to make adjustments to it.

An All Terrain Pole Nov 17, 2007 I bought this for my wife so that she could more easily navigate the trails of Yosemite and Sequoia/Kings Canyon. She loved it, and now uses two for greater balance on the stony slopes and to cross some of the creeks. Since she's getting faster than I, I suppose it's time for me to switch from my old six foot stick to the Leki.
Won't Travel Without It! Oct 22, 2007 LEKI Travel Super Micro Pole
I purchased the Lexi Travel Super Micro Pole in June 2007 and won't go anywhere without it! I have severe glaucoma and can't negotiate steps or stony paths well. Using this pole, I was able to trek all over Yellowtone National Park, Macchu Pichu, the Abra Malaga Pass in Peru (at 12,000 feet of stony ground!) as well as less daunting places. The rubber stopper adapts the pole to city and preserved stone walkways (like the paths in Macchu Pichu and the metal cap works extremely well on any other surface. The pole's length for storage fits into a carryon with wheels easily. The pole's height is perfect for me -- which means that a person over 5 ft 5 in or so would not find it long enough, however.
