I would have given it 5 stars but my big complaint is the tapered handle. The handle is SHORT AND SMALLER at the end, making it an awkward hold in my opinion. LOVE the design IDEA but the design FUNCTION is a MISS. I ended up buying the handle mitt, Lodge Max Temp Handle Mitt, Black which for $5resolved the issue and does a super job of keeping MY handle from frying.

I have switched from non stick cookware to cast iron due to health concerns. I love this pan. I will never go back.

Everything OK but the seasoning could have been better Jan 03, 2010
This is a very nice skillet esp if you like to saute and need room for a spatula. Lodge shaped this one nicely for using like a chef skillet. I gave it 4 stars because the factory seasoning was not perfect so I re-seasoned...no big problem. I will definitely buy more Pro-Logic.

I got this skillet to use for sauteing amounts of food that are too large for the regular sized Lodge saute pan (chef's skillet). It works great for that, and as a traditional skillet.

Just as heavy as the 12-inch Lodge Logic skillet but with a better ergonomic handle that makes lifting easier when the skillet is full. Does have slightly less skillet space due to the sloped sides, but I like it. I have other pans if I need more space.
