By Vicki anderson Love this item. It is sturdy and not to heavy to slip in your pack. We like to use a griddle for many of the items we take canoeing/kayaking and even backpacking. cleans up easy. Best of all no handle to take up room in our pots and pan bag. We skip the skillet in our kit and use the griddle,a coffee pot and a sauce pan w/lid and a removable handle, (handle is a clamp style and worked with the griddle too). :o)
Packing with a real breakfast Jul 01, 2010
By slp I love to cook pancakes and eggs when I go camping with the kids, but I don't want to lug a bulky griddle in my pack. I also want something bigger than your average mess kit pan. With this lighweight yet decent sized griddle I can have my (pan)cake and eat it too, or something like that. At least I can cook them fast enough to satisfy everyone.
It is tricky to use on a small camp stove, there are no hot spots, but it does get cold around the edges.
