Big enough at the right price! Apr 03, 2009

This is the largest pot in a three-pot series of 1-, 2-, and 4-quart Billy pots from the National Enameling and Stamping Company in Wisconsin - probably one of the last domestic manufacturers of pots and pans in the U.S.? Anyway, this is a nice, 'non-stick' surfaced pot for steaming, boiling, baking, and feeding a bunch of folks when camping. This is not a backpacking pot, but really isn't that heavy (it's lightweight aluminum). Nicely finished and lid fits tightly on top. I ordered the whole set; unfortunately, my 1-qt. pot arrived dented because these pots are not packed in bubble wrap or boxes (must be why they're a bit cheaper?).

Perfect Jun 14, 2009
By Lucy Ford This little billy pot works perfect for me. I had recently moved to a neighborhood that has an annual chowder and I needed a small covered pot with a bail handle to take to the chowder. I'm so pleased I found it on Amazon.
Great pot for backpacking! Sep 12, 2011

This pot is great. Nonstick, lightweight, efficient, and well designed. Cleans up easy, packs light. The little hinge on the lid is nice (can be lifted with a stick, spoon, etc.). The handle is wonderful, b/c it is quite stiff. In other words you can actually set the handle at an angle, then tip with it, without the handle flopping or swiveling this way and that. The lid is snug fitting, which saves fuel. The pot is blackened, which also saves fuel. Easily the best pot I've ever owned for backpacking, for just sixteen bucks. Remarkable.
Great for camping Jun 08, 2011
By JW Have used this pot for camping trips several times now and it is very handy. I especially like the handle as it allows the pot to be suspended from a tripod with a hook and chain and it holds enough soup/chili to feed three hungry men. It is lightweight and the non-stick coating works good but you need to be careful otherwise you can scratch it.
cheap quality Feb 09, 2011
By Karen Shore Feels cheap, light weight for specific purposes is ok, however, the edges are very sharp and could cut you. Things could get burned really easilty because of the thinness of pot. I almost thought the pot would melt once, defeating the purpose of camping with a campfire for your stove.
