1Poor Quality Materials  Oct 07, 2007
By Scott Kidder
I ordered this compression sack to hold my tent while backpacking. The sack looked fine when I removed it from the packaging; however, while packing it for the first time the fabric tore on the seam that joins the bag with the drawstring closure. I was applying only a little downward pressure while /stuffing/ the sack. The bag is still somewhat usable, but looks terrible due to the huge tear, and can't be trusted to resist water or other stresses.

I've used stuff sacks from Granite Gear and found their craftsmanship to be much better. I strongly recommend against anyone buying this or any other stuff sack from Slumberjack.

1Tore at first f***ing use!  May 30, 2008
By Joey Huddleston
This sack is seriously a disgrace to all the sack factories that have ever run off the labor of little children. Upon the first use, one of the seams that makes up the integral structure of the sack tore, rendering all twenty-three dollars and four cents of it completely useless. If you are planning to buy a sack, I would strongly discourage anyone from buying any compression sack made by slumberjack and go with a better brand like OR.

If you are a vendor who currently carries this product, shame on you. You ought to know better than to sell filth such as this to the innocent travelling and camping starry-eyed newcomers. May your children be cursed with sacks that also tear.

May God have mercy on you.

4nice compressor  Aug 31, 2009
By mqueen "mqueen"
This bag compresses items well,I suggest balancing the compression load to avoid too much pull on any one strap. I had to buy a second bag, because my son liked mine so much, that when he borrowed it, I didn't get it back. Good value for the money compared to other compression sacks.

1product is clearly defective  Jul 21, 2008
By CPB
My husband and I bought two of these bags. Each of them ripped at the seam around the top of the bag before we even got a chance to use them. One ripped while being compressed for the first time. The other ripped while I was holding the edge of the bag and placing items inside. I was barely putting pressure on it, and it tore like paper. This product is poorly made and not capable of performing the advertised function.

4good compression but a bit heavy  May 12, 2008
By get home alive
The stuff sack seems well made. Compression is good. It is a bit heavy and I would give up the zip into itself case for less weight. All in all, it is a good value and I plan to buy a 2nd.
