An excellent compass for general purpose use. I dial is easy to read, is luminous at night, and the magnifying glass is handy. If it fairly dark outside you may need to illuminate the screen with a small light for just a second or two.

Works well and never got a bubble in it. I like the glow in the dark feature and magnifying glass for map reading. Serves its basic function as an orienteering compass and is not too over the top. I used p-cord instead of the string it came with because the strength but the cord that came with it never broke. I just like to eliminate the possibility. It costs way less then one you may find at an outdoor store. If you buy this compass you wont be disappointed.

Great basic compass.
Easy to read, glow in the dark dial and magnifying area for reading maps.
Doesn't have all the extras of some top of the line compasses, but it will get you where you're going.
