4Great sleeping pad  Apr 07, 2005
By Nathan Hunt
This was a great sleeping pad. Inflation is not always instantaneous, but after setting up the mat, and going outside the tent to enjoy yourself for a while, the time it takes to inflate is insignificant. Overall, good sturdy sleeping pad.

4No stiff back from sleeping on the ground anymore...Very nice mat  Sep 01, 2006
By D. Inness
Great mat to sleep on while camping and my girlfriend thought so also after taking a nap on it so I had to get another one because I wasn't going go sleep on the el' cheap-o mat she had.

Wish the mat was wider but everything else was great and the air never deflated during the night and I'm a 250 lb guy.

*When you first get the mat inflate it before your trip because it takes awhile (1 hour for me) but after the first time it's pretty quick like 10-20 mins depending on how firm you like it.

5Nice to have for backpacking  Nov 10, 2006
By Alan Swanson
I bought this for a 5-day backpacking trip through a canyon in Utah. It was a great price and worked well. However, it is rather big and adds a few lbs to the pack. You will most likely have to hang it outside the pack which can become cumbersome at times.

Overall, pretty conformable and very reasonably priced.

5Best self inflating mat we've ever found  Oct 21, 2005
By T. Livingstone
This mat inflates well and with a small amount of blowing can be pumped thicker for extra comfort. The air inlet/outlet works very well making for rapid expulsion of air and rapid roll up. The outer shell is also of good quality and not too slippery. Would recommend this mat to anyone.

5Self Inflating Mat Really Works  Sep 29, 2005
By Vicki Davies "traveler"
Before we purchased the self-inflating mats we bought a kingsize air mattress. Besides having to inflate this mattress with electricity, which is darn inconvient when camping, it lost air the first night, for which these particular inflatables are infamous. Trying to move around inside the tent felt much like being at sea, rockin' and rollin' with every movment. So we returned the kingsize air mattress and purchased two of the self-inflating mats. These worked perfectly with a little additional blowing up. They are firm yet comfortable. Our only complaint was we couldn't snap them together, so we taped them with duct tape. A bit of a hassel, but worth it.
